Today, the popularity of the site with a worldwide audience, sees contributors submitting their own pictures making Windows On Our World a truly open, global resource not only for Geographers, but for lovers of country, the city, and the world.

Each of the categories have been organised into separate geographical sections, with 13 main categories, and many more sub-sections.

Updates to the site occur without interruption. New images will simply 'appear' when reloading a gallery.
